Unconcious Eating: Fast Food Calorieism

Fast foods can be very tasty, but do you know how many calories and fat they contain?

Excessive consumption of empty calories, as those seen in our major fast food chains today, can cause serious health problem. Despite that fact that the government implemented the showcasing of the calorie content of menu items, some people  still do not understand or are they conscious of the tremendous amounts of fats, calories, salt that they put in their bodies at one setting. I am in no way bashing fast food, but there are healthier option out there. Making small lifestyle changes can have a positive impact on your health and well being.

If you were to have a:
Premium Mac Wrap Chicken (crispy), 510 calories, 25 g fat
Medium French Fries 340 calories, 16g fat
Medium Coca-Cola, 200 calories
You will rack up approximately a total of 1050 calories with approximate 40g of fat.

This is more than half the daily calories and fat that one need, especially saturated fat that can contribute to Cardiovascular Diseases or Heart Disease. An average person in the USA needs approximate 2000 calories per day. So if you add in calories and fat intakes from breakfast, supper and snacks you can rack up over 3000 calories and possibly triple your % recommended daily intake of fat.
